Project Description
Introduction
Precision carbon steel seamless tubes engineered for automotive shock absorbers and hydraulic damping systems represent a critical intersection of structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality. At Fushun Steel Tube, we manufacture these tubes to serve simultaneously as high-pressure hydraulic cylinders and load-bearing structural members. They are capable of enduring millions of compression-rebound cycles without compromising seal performance or damping consistency.
Produced through hot-rolled seamless piercing followed by multi-pass cold drawing or cold rolling, our tubes deliver exceptional concentricity, straightness, and bore finish. We supply a comprehensive range of low-to-medium carbon steel grades, enabling engineers to precisely match material strength, hardenability, and fatigue resistance to specific damper architectures.
Whether your project requires a lightweight passenger car strut, a high-performance monotube shock, or a heavy-duty commercial vehicle damper, our flexible manufacturing and strict metallurgical control ensure reliable dynamic performance. Tell us your specifications, and our technical team will recommend the optimal grade and processing route for your application.

Manufacturing Process
Smelting Route: Our carbon steel billets are produced via EAF + LF + VD to ensure low gas content, tight inclusion control, and consistent chemistry. For applications demanding superior fatigue life or ultra-clean microstructures, we offer ESR or VIM + VAR upon request.
Tube Manufacturing: Production begins with hot-rolled seamless piercing, followed by rotary rolling and sizing. For precision shock absorber tubes, the mother tubes undergo spheroidize annealing, pickling, and multi-pass cold drawing or cold rolling. This is followed by stress-relief or normalization heat treatment, precision straightening, and cutting.
For hydraulic cylinder applications, we further process cold-drawn tubes through internal honing or skiving & roller burnishing (SRB). Every processing step is customizable; our metallurgical team will work with you to select the optimal route based on your strength, tolerance, and surface requirements.
